Delivery Management System
Project Overview
The Delivery Management System (DMS) is a sophisticated tool that acts as a virtual hub, streamlining and coordinating delivery operations across multiple sites. Administrators establish and manage sites, Site Managers organize deliveries efficiently, and subcontractors handle deliveries on the ground under Site Managers’ guidance. In essence, the DMS optimizes workflows, ensures timely deliveries, and maintains a well- coordinated operation across diverse sites.

Our Roles
Roles overview:
The Delivery Management System (DMS) encompasses a comprehensive set of functionalities designed to effectively oversee and optimize the delivery operations across multiple sites. The system is structured around specific roles: Administrators, Site Managers, and Subcontractors, each tailored to perform essential tasks.
Admin Role:
Administrators hold exclusive capabilities, including the creation, modification, and deactivation of sites. The creation of sites by administrators within the Delivery Management System (DMS) serves as the fundamental framework for organizing and managing different physical locations or operational areas. Each site represents a distinct entity, such as a warehouse, distribution center, or any specific location where goods are managed or delivered.
Site Manager Role:
The role of the site manager within the Delivery Management System (DMS) involves a multi- step workflow aimed at efficient oversight and management of site-specific operations. Upon the administrator’s creation of a New Site and subsequent assignment of a Site Manager, the Site Manager accesses their dashboard. The primary tasks commence with the creation of site settings, encompassing essential site details, options configuration, resource establishment, creation of holding areas, allocation of package managers, and uploading Site Route and Site Maps subsequently. Following the setup, the site manager initiates the creation of subcontractors and gatekeeper login credentials. This triggers an email notification to the designated individuals, prompting them to verify their accounts and set up their passwords, ensuring secure access to the system.
Once these preliminary tasks are accomplished, the core responsibilities of the Site Manager unfold. They gain comprehensive oversight of all deliveries within the system, with the ability to review and verify deliveries created by subcontractors. Moreover, the Site Manager exercises control over resource bookings, facilitated through a table listing or a calendar view. This feature allows adjustments to be made to deliveries and resource allocations as necessary. Site Managers benefit from the Email module, enabling them to send site-wide communications to all site managers, subcontractors and gate keepers fostering effective communication and collaboration. The Reports module enables Site Managers to generate comprehensive reports encompassing various dates. These reports offer detailed insights and analytics, providing valuable data for informed decision- making and strategic planning. While the Site Manager has the authority over overseeing deliveries and resource bookings, the direct creation of deliveries and resource bookings aligns with the responsibilities of subcontractors. The site manager’s scope is centered around robust supervision, verification, and optimization of operations, ensuring streamlined processes and efficient logistical management within the designated site.
Subcontractor Role:
The primary role of subcontractors within the Delivery Management System revolves around pivotal tasks such as creating deliveries, managing resource bookings, and monitoring these activities through the calendar feature. Their scope predominantly involves handling and overseeing deliveries by creating new entries, managing existing ones, and ensuring their proper execution. Additionally, subcontractors play a key role in the efficient management of resource bookings, organizing and overseeing these allocations to streamline site operations effectively. Site Settings Module:
Customizes site-specific configurations for administrators and managers, enabling detailed site information updates, resource management, and fine- tuning of site functionalities.
